Bananas are a higher glycemic carbohydrate food. For this reason, they are reserved for higher phases during metabolic revving cycles. As you move through the meal plan phases with MetPro, there will be times when bananas show on your food list and others when they don't. If you choose to have a banana when it’s not on your food list, be sure to log a point on your Extra Foods screen. This allows the algorithm to better account for the higher glycemic load. This same concept applies to other foods as well. A few examples are corn, white potato, mango, whole wheat, sourdough bread, and air-popped popcorn.
